Daniel & Jenessa's story is an amazing one. Four years ago Jenessa's family went through one of the worst things a family can imagine. Her mother was diagnosed with cancer, and after a very short period of time, was no longer with them. It was all so sudden.
Through the pain and the grief her family became closer then ever before. Their church invited Jenessa and her siblings to honor their father, Ivan, on stage at a service on Father's Day 2013.
As Kristyn recalls in her speech, this was the first time Daniel ever saw Jenessa. He was struck, and even found her on Facebook on his phone during that church service!
Long story short, he asked for her father's permission, and they started dating. Then in August of 2014 on a rainy day in Washington D.C., he asked her to be his bride.
Their wedding ceremony was at the same church where her parents were married, where her sister was married, and where her mother was laid to rest.
Dan & Jenessa's love for each other and for God is obvious, and you can see how they inspire and bring out the best in the other. In their letters to each other, they both expressed their desire to serve the other, and to glorify God in doing so.
